Well if you've read this far then there's
a little secret to tell...Grafini, Where
did the name come from? I kept the
Gr from Green and fin from fincas and
created a word that has links to the
traditional (but often scruffy) wall art
known as Graffiti.Grafini is a fine art
wall covering for your home.
A favourite motto of mine is 'seek
and ye shall find' I love looking
around, forever searching for I don't
know what.
Aged 31 I was to leave Australia
and return to the UK on account of
immigration restrictions. I took on a
job as an Sales Account Manager.
On my travels and as a student I
have relied on sales jobs to top-up
my income. I sell on the phone, at
the door or on the street where-ever
is required. At 32 I resigned from
my post at BT Local Business and
set up Grafini - In the company of
Polished Plaster.
The very first commision for Grafini
was courtesy of my old boss at BT.
He had a requirement for an
individual boardroom interior for a
high traffic sales operation. I even
stencilled his BT logo on the wall
for him. He was delighted with the
finished job.
My Grafini commisions took me to
the dazzling lights of Knightsbridge
and South Kensington. My work is
privately displayed in some of the
highest class homes in London.
A Pinnacle for Grafini was my
commision to The National Gallery in
Trafalgar square.
